It’s hard to pick a consistent winner!

A big 5.25lb largemouth bass finally came in at this weekend’s weigh-in. The bigger bass seem to have been missing at this year. But true to form a consistent big bass seeking team came through. The team of Frank Lupinno and Andy Pawlik connected with this fish and collected $320.00 for their efforts. The big bass was freed to roam the waters of the Fox Chain once again. It’s swimming somewhere off Mutiny Point.

This is not the first time this team has come in with the largest fish of a tournament.

They started the season on 4/26 with a 4.77 lb. biggest bass and third place that paid $1000.00. Then on 5/9 of this year they took a first place check for $1390.00. And last month took a 5th place win for $228.00.

After the weigh-in this TD had a chat with Frank Lupinno and discussed his teams continued success in catching bigger bass. Frank proceeded to pull out his cell phone with recent pictures of big bass caught on the Chain over the last couple weeks when the tournament clock was not ticking. The pictures included the times and dates of each of his big fish. I don’t know about you but it takes a special team to be consistent with catching big fish. Frank is the owner of Lupinno Plumbing telephone number 847-825-5203
Need a plumbing job? Franks does it all. His fellow contestants encourage anyone needing plumbing work done to call Frank. Seems Frank is spending too much time practicing on the water during these tough economic times.

Fist Place was secured by the team of Doug Pavlov and Ron Rzadzki 13.01lbs and collected $1,390.00. Second Place went to Andy and Matt Smith of Wisconsin collecting $795.00 for their 11.23lb sack. Dave Allyn and Mark Lynch collect $440.00 for third with 10.98lbs. 10.82lbs paid the team of Pat Koffler and Dave Linton $260.00. Following up in fifth was Rick Frey and Jeff Pulliam 10.28lbs collecting 190.00.

Less than 1 pound separated 2nd thru 8th place. So it does pay to fish for bigger fish.

Special thanks to Ken Ingess and the Mutiny Boat Club where special $7.00 launch fees are offered just by mentioning US Anglers Choice. And where else can you find special beer /sandwich prices in effect during a tournament. As Kenny said “I’M TRYING TO DO MY BEST DURING A DOWN TURNED ECONOMY FOR THE FISHERMEN.”

Stop in for the Wednesday $2.00 beer night. The Mutiny Boat Club is on Grass Lake Road and say hello to “Sam”.
