"Ole Nessie" Cross Lake 5.23 lbs
Cross Lake Marina was our host in our September 20th event held on their own Cross Lake. The field was forced to stay at the marina until 7:30 as the fog was thicker than my back hair...too much info... Everyone was excited at mornings launch to try to take on the depths of Cross and unseat the reigning Anglers of the year, but Jamie Hartman and Dereck Bigford had ideas of their own getting "Jiggy" with it from go and bringing an impressive 17.19 lbs lead by a 5.23 lb kicker which would turn out to be days lunker. Taking second in the day was a very respectable 16.8lb bag weighed by Mike Ventura and Nick Giamei. Taking Third on this Sunday was the team of Mike Donahue and Gene Cochran weighing 15.46lbs. Most all teams said they caught several fish and were merely looking for the "Big" bite. Congratulations to Jamie and Dereck for their weekend wins and another GREAT bag of fish. These guys have been unstoppable this year and have managed 4 wins in our 6 events thus far. Great Job guys!!! October 11th is our final event on Lake Onondaga.
