Results

The Alabama River Team Trail's third event was held on April 24th at Selma City Marina in Selma, Alabama. The river was at full pool at blast off and the Corp of Engineers pulled water all morning giving the anglers the challenge of dropping water. The top pattern turned out to be a shallow water bite for largemouth with jigs, spinnerbaits, trick worms and top water. Again, largemouth dominated the tournament. Some of the largemouth had laid out while others were still carrying eggs.

1st Place - 18.35 lbs. Ronnie Kelly and John Hooper of Montgomery weighed in 5 fish at 18.35 lbs. 1st place payout was $780.00

2nd Place - 15.78 lbs. Williams Oates and Jason Law of Prattville weighed in 5 fish at 15.78 lbs. 2nd place payout was $420.00

Big Fish - 5.54 lbs. Rick Knight and Tony Butts of Selma weighed in the big fish at
5.54 lbs.

Next Tournament: The Alabama River Trail's next event is at Ellis Landing in Camden, AL on May 29th.
