Alabama River Trail Report

The Alabama River Team Trail's fourth event was held on May 29 th at Ellis Landing in Camden, Alabama. Like last month in Selma, the river was at full pool at blast off and the Corp of Engineers pulled water until about 10:00 a.m. The top pattern was jigs, spinnerbait and topwater. Some of the 3 to 5 lb. Largemouth were still in the creeks while others had already moved out into the river. Turn out was low on the Holiday weekend but the average weight into the scales was over 11.6 lbs. per boat!

1 st Place – 19.66 lbs. Rick Knight and Tony Butts of Selma weighed in a nice sack of largemouth for first. 1 st place payout was $780.00

Big Fish – 5.38 lbs. Sean Custard and Bryan Royal weighed the big fish for the second time this season.
