TOP WATER AND MAY = GREAT FISHING ON CHEROKEE LAKE

The Lord gave the best fishermen in the southeast another great day to fish on beautiful Cherokee Lake in Morristown, Tennessee. Cherokee is still one of the best lakes around because it takes almost a 3 pound average just to get a top ten finish. This lake is just incredible for producing fish in the 3 to 5 pound class. With that said and the $2000 guaranteed first place no matter how many boats fish is what keeps the best fishermen in the Southeast coming back to Morristown to fish the Angler's Choice Cherokee Super Team Tournament.

Not many men ever win an Angler's Choice Tournament and even fewer ever win one with their wife but that is just what Bill Humbard did on Saturday with his wife. Bill and his wife Patty came to the scales with a huge limit of fish that weighed 18.20 pounds. Bill reported running the Mercury powered Triton boat to many of the main lake points on beautiful Cherokee Lake to catch their fish. Great job! Now have fun spending that $2000!

Randy Brown and Greg Burrell secured a second place finish with 16.31 pounds of fish. Randy and Greg reported running their Mercury powered Ranger boat to the mid-section of Cherokee Lake to catch their fish. This team reported catching their fish flipping and they also had a top water bite.

The lunker of the tournament went to the team of Wilbert Cordwell and James Collins. The lunker was a beautiful 5.46 pounds largemouth that was caught on a top-water bait.
