Sunday June 27, 2004 was the 5th of 7 US Angler's Choice events out of Ladds in Stockton. It was a picture perfect day, warm and a light wind.  There are a number of teams vying for angler of the year in both the East Delta region and the Travelers.  Leading the pack from Roseville & Livermore was Bill Spence Jr. & Chris Raza with big stringer of 21.56 and big fish honors with a 7.08 caught on a sinko.  There total winnings is $2405.  Second went to Lorenzo Rossetti and his father John, both from Stockton with a total weight of 20.02 landing them a check for $1052.  Third is Mark Hoffeditz of Elk Grove and Kelly Lee of Sacramento coming to the scales with 15.26 good for $838.  Fourth is Steve Hayashi & Mark Hinkle from Tracy with a good weight of 14.91 and a pay check of $475.  Fifth is the strong team of Chris VanClef and John Harper from Mountain View & Sunol with a weight totaling 14.69 scoring $400. Sixth place went to Gary Wilson & Dave Newton from Tracy & Oakley with a weight of 14.68 good for $315.  Seventh another good delta team is Bryan Roland & Mike Bryant both from Brentwood with a total of 14.58 and a check for $295.  Eight place is Dan Castelhano & Rick Yokom from Fremont & Manteca bringing to the scales 14.47 good for last in the money $240.  Olympic gold medallist skier Kyle Rasmussen and his partner Joe Menzes both from Angels Camp came in 12th place with 12.56 and they are in position to take anglers of the year in the Travelers division.  We had 191 fish weighed in totaling 422 pound and 33 limits.  The majority of the teams had early morning top water and then mostly flipping and drop shot after that.
