Watts Bar, TN
Galyon and Scruggs Are
on A Roll
After a 30-minute fog delay the
third tournament of the East Tennessee U.S. Angler's Choice was
underway. And it turned out to be a beautiful day with calm
winds and bright sunshine.
After a second place finish in
last month's tournament Shawn Galyon and Jimmy Scruggs pull
off the win this month making them the hottest team in East
Tennessee. Shawn reported catching his fish early in the day
on a DD22 and a jig. This awesome team ran their Triton boat
to the upper end of Watts Bar Lake to catch their fish. Their
limit of fish hit the scales at 14.52 lbs. Which was anchored
by a 5.62 lb. largemouth the big fish of the tournament. With
this win Shawn and Jimmy take over the point race.
Second place went to Johnny Murray and Ray Luttrell. This
new team ran their Mercury powered Ranger to the mid-section
of the lake to weigh in a 5 fish limit that hit the scales
at 13.53 lbs. Ray report catching their fish on soft plastic
from deep water.
Third place went to last year's
anglers of the year Frank Byrd and Ralph Loveday with a limit
of fish that hit the scales at 13.22 lbs. This quiet team
reported catching their fish on plugs in deep water. Their
bag was anchored by a 4.53 lb. largemouth.
