It was an overcast and cool morning for July when the best fishermen in East Tennessee gathered at Fort Loudon and Tellico Lake to fish the fifth event of 2002. Everyone was ready to go fishing. The father and son team of George Galyon Jr. and George Galyon III won their second Angler's Choice tournament of the year. This smiling team weighed in three fish that hit the scales at 9.97 lb. anchored by a 6.04 lber that turned out to be the lunker of the tournament. This talented team reported catching the big fish on a Carolina rig lizard. The Galyons reported running their Mercury powered boat to the mid- section of Fort Loudon to catch their winning bag. GREAT JOB!

Second place went to Michael and John Bailey who ran their Cell-Com sponsored Champion boat up Fort Loudon Lake to bring back two fish that hit the scales at 9.48 lbs. This sibling sensation team reported catching one of their fish on a DD-22 and the other one flipping. This shows how talented this team is at catching big fish by catching one deep and one flipping, way to go guy!

Third place went to the new team of Keith Whaley and Ben Parker. This team was the only team to bring a limit of fish to the scales weighing in at 8.94 lbs.

After all was said and done there were only 37 fish weighed in and only one five fish limit. This proves that fishing can be tough this time of year. On a positive note there were no dead fish weighed in GREAT JOB guys!
