Angler's Choice of East Tennessee

After a night of heavy rain and cool temperatures all the fishermen were ready to go fishing. The weatherman reported that the rain would come and come it did with up to five inches in some areas of East Tennessee. But all this rain did not dampen the spirit of Frank Woody and Junior Dover of Maryville Tennessee. This skilled team ran their Mercury powered boat to the mid-section of Fort Loudon Lake to bring back five fish that hit the scales at 10.67 pounds anchored by a 3.96 lbs. largemouth. Frank and Junior reported catching their fish in less than two feet of water on a jig. Frank and Junior would like to thank their sponsor Woody's BP on Morganton Road. GREAT JOB MEN.

Second place went to Jeff Rogers and Allen McKee both of Knoxville Tennessee. These talented fishermen reported catching their 9.91 lbs of fish on a buzzbait over deep water. This team also had lunker a husky 4.07, which also fell victim to a buzzbait. This second place finish also helped move them to a second place finish in points for the year. George Galyon JR and George Galyon the III are the Anglers of the Year for 2002. This father and son team have had a great year and are looking forward to going to another Classic.

Angler's Choice would like for everyone to know that we will be going to a Fall/ Spring Trail for 2002 - 2003 with the first tournament being on October 19,2002 on Fort Loudon/Tellico. The word is already out about this new schedule and the fishermen in East Tennessee are ready to get the season cranked up. See everyone in October.
