Davis
And Humphrey Rattle Their Way To Victory
Written by Director Steve Jennings
Angler's Choice held its' second tournament of the year on
beautiful Douglas Lake. The day started with overcast skies
and 60-degree temperatures. But as the day progressed the
temperature started to fall and the rain began to fall. This
made for a long for the best fishermen in East Tennessee.
But by time for the 3 P.M weigh-in a new winner was crowned.
This time it was the team of Harley Bill Davis and Chuck Humphrey.
This new team came to the scales with a five fish limit that
hit the scales 14.19 lbs. They reported catching most of their
fish on a Rat-L-Trap but their biggest fish a 5.18 lbs. Largemouth
was caught on a jig. This team stated that they ran their
boat to the mid-section of the lake and had a limit by 9:30
A.M. They would like to thank their sponsors East Tennessee
Auto Action The Marinas on Lake Loudoun, and Tennessee D.A.C.
Second place went to Scott Orr and Jeff Lee. This talented
team ran their boat to Indian Creek to bring back a five fish
limit that weighed in at 11.11 lbs. Jeff reported catching
their fish off points using the crankbaits that Clint Boling
had made for them. With this second place finish they maintain
the point lead going in to the third tournament.
Third place went to the colorful team of Scott Maddox and
Eugene Randolph. Scott reported running his Aries Boat to
the upper end of Douglas Lake to bring back a five fish limit
that hit the scales at 10.13 lbs. Scott reported catching
over twenty fish on a jig in about eight feet of water. Eugene
and Scott would like to thank their sponsors Randolph's Masonry
and Maddox's Heat and Air.
The lunker of the tournament went to David Shreve and Todd
Drew. This team came to the scales with a beautiful largemouth
that hit the scales at 5.81 lbs. Who says that Douglas doesn't
have any big fish left in it? All fish were released alive
to fight again Great Job men.
