It was a crisp fall morning as the best fishermen in East Tennessee made their way to the banks of beautiful Fort Loudoun and Tellico Lake. The Lord had blessed us with another gorgeous day to fish and just be alive.

Angler's Choice got its first tournament of the year off to a great start with lots of new teams fishing the largest team trail in the nation. First place went to the new team of Dan Zerick and Cliff Rowland. Dan is the Pepperidge Farm Salesmen in the East Tennessee area and reported that every fishing day should include some of the great tasting snacks and he must be right because this talented team came to the scales with a 5 fish limit that weighed 14.35 lbs. and included the lunker of the day a 5.08 largemouth. The lunker of the tournament was caught on a jig. They reported catching their fish on buzz bait and a jig in the Concord area of Fort Loudon Lake in areas near deep water.

Also fishing their first Angler's Choice event was the team of John Testerman and Jack Holbert. This seasoned team ran up the Tennessee River to the Concord area to bring back a 5 fish limit that weighed in at 12.42 lbs. John reported catching their fish deep in 15 - 18 feet of water on a crankbait. When John is not out catching fish on the local lakes he is running Testerman Management the company that builds some of the finer homes in the East Tennessee area

In closing Angler's Choice staff would like to thank all the fishermen that came and fished. In all there were only four five fish limits weighed in and total of 48 fish caught there were nine teams that did not bring a keeper fish to the scales. Please remember that the next tournament will be on Cherokee Lake on October 4.
