1ST PLACE: Ricky Knott of Albertville who has his own Plumbing and Electric Business and his son-in-law, Steven Smith of Guntersville who is a Diesel Mechanic with Kennarmer Brothers brought to the scales a beautiful limit of fish that averaged about 5 pounds each and weighed in at 21.33 pounds to take home $1260.

They started their morning with a spinnerbait and was able to put a quick limit in the boat with ease. They then switched up to a Rat L Trap and was able to better their limit, but ultimately went to a 3/8 oz. Stalker Black & Blue Jig with a Zoom Black Big Salty Chunk where they were able to cull every fish they had caught earlier. The Team was sitting on the edge of the hydrilla in 8 - 10 foot and fishing in 4 - 5 foot. Knott and Smith were fishing post spawn fish that had just come off the beds and were starting to head out to the rivers edge.

2nd PLACE: Bryan Douglas and Todd Cantrell both of Hazel Green and also work together as drivers for UPS brought their limit in that weighed 18.78 pounds to take home a check of $590. They started in South Sauty and worked their way to Seibold fishing the points and humps with millfoil. The team slow rolled a ½ oz Terminator and a ½ oz Booyah Spinnerbait keeping it in contact with the grass and watching for the shad to follow it. They would stop at a place and make ½ dozen casts and if there were no shad to follow the spinnerbait, they would move on to the next place.

3rd PLACE: Bill Anglin and Sam Benson both from Dawsonville Georgia and both have their own Masonry and Stone Business took home a check of $400 for their limit weighing 18.73 pounds. Their morning did not get off to a very good start loosing 3 fish at the boat in the 5 pound range. They got it together and stayed with their pattern using a ¼ oz Georgia Jig with a Gary Yamamotto twin tail. They also were fishing post spawn bass, starting on the points of coves and working half way back in the pocket.

Mike Rains and Jamie Smith of Albertville caught the Big Bass on a Rat L Trap that weighed 6.74 lbs. Mike and Jamie now hold the Rat L Trap Super Pack Award which will be given away at the end of the year, lets see if they hold on to it. Mike and Jamie also won the drawing for a set each of the Frog Togg Rain Suits.

Several of the teams also won a Super nice bag of Strike King Lures thanks to our new Sponsor of the Carl Black GMC Teams of Guntersville, N. E. Alabama and the Neely Henry Super Teams for Anglers Choice.
