CASTAIC LAKE - JANUARY 26, 2004

Our 5th event brought 25 teams to the water on Saturday. We were treated with the presence of fishing legend and maker of one of the best plastic worms in the business, Don Ioviono and his son. It was a pleasure meeting Don as he put the pressure on the Castaic Lake crew to get us out on the water through the high winds. The Castaic Lake lifeguards and management were great to work with and they got us out on the water by 7:30. By 9:00 the winds were pretty calm and the fishing must have heated up with 24 limits out of 25 teams coming to the scales. When it all shook out, Bill Siemental (Bass West field editor) and Mike Hart brought just over 22 lbs to the scale for the win. Chandler and Wong came in with over 20 lbs and big fish honors with a 6.67 lber. Both teams brought in Close to $1500 for the day.
