Brad Wall of Clarksville, Ohio and Craig
Hipsher of Franklin Ohio teamed up to win the Anglers Choice
Bass Tournament held at Barkley State Park Sunday. They
were the only team to with a 5 fish limit that weighed 13.95
pounds. They are sponsored by Hooters Restaurants, Ranger
Boats, Mercury Outboard motors, Lowrance Electronic, Bag
Um Products, Fishing Edge Rods and Dual Pro Chargers. Brad
said the team caught quite a few keepers, but lost 2 good
fish in the final hour. They were sure it was going to cost
them the win, but in the end the high winds held down the
catches and their final weight was enough to give them the
win.
In second place was the team of John Watz
and John Harriman of Clarksville TN. They only had 3 fish,
but their total of 9.08 pounds was enough for second. Their
big bass was good for second place in the big bass pot as
well, as they brought in a 4.44 pound largemouth. John Watz
said they caught their fish on jigs and lizards. The big
bass of the event was a 5.01 largemouth weighed in by Glenn
Claytor of Johnson IL and Terry Story of Mount Vernon, IL.
Glenn caught the fish on a rattle trap about mid day.
