Lake Powell showed how
to humble most anglers, freezing temps and Clear skies
would prove to be a very tough day on the lake as once
again 34 anglers would ready them self's to brave the
cold.
As the teams started to come to the scales it proved
to be another day like the day before, 1 fish here and
1 fish there, Chris Cross/Debi Cross after making a
140 mile trip for the day would bring in 2 fish for
2.65lbs to lock up 3rd place, Jim Bishop /Bill Carlquist
also had 2 fish with a 1.78 kicker fish for a whopping
3.02lbs but good enough for big fish of the tourny and
another Kistler Drop Shot Rod and 2nd place, ( Think
these guy's need to do some drop shotting? ) The team
of Randy Okubo/Julie Duffin had the Monster bag of the
day, 3 fish for a total weight of 3.38lbs to take the
win. Winner of the 2 day Option Pot was Rick Thornsley/Dennis
Cole for a total weight for 6 fish of 8.89lbs to take
home $360.00. Congrats to all that braved the cold weather
and tough fishing, I think I can almost guarantee fishing
will be better at the next one, but don't hold me to
that…
