Glynn Blankinship and Kenny
Covington caught 13.95 pounds of Bass to win the final
tournament in the North Central Louisiana Division of
US Anglers Choice that was held Saturday on Lake D'Arbonne.
With their win, which brought them a check for $1280,
Glynn and Kenny held on to the points lead to become
North Central Louisiana's Anglers of the Year. They
will be our representative in the Regional Championship
"Tournament within a Tournament" competing
for the title of Regional Anglers of the Year and the
extra prize package worth $15,000 that goes with the
title.
Ken Lantrip and Chad Pody
couldn't pull off the miracle finish that they have
done for the past two years. Although they finished
second in this event by bringing in 13.60 pounds they
finished the year in third place. For their efforts
the team from Ruston collected $635.
Monk Anderson and Stacy
Boggs finished the year with a five fish limit weighing
13.29 pounds to claim the third place check and the
check for the event's big bass that weighed 4.91 pounds.
Their total for the day was $800.
Forth place went to Kendall
Parent and Louis Book for their limit weighing 11.18
pounds for $395. Ed Pittman and Randy Brister had 11.03
pounds to finish fifth and collect $275.
The sixth place stringer was weighed in by Freddie Hightower
and Kyle McDonald. Their Limit weighed 11.02 and paid
them $245.
Gayle and I would like
to thank all of the teams that fished with us this year.
We have a great bunch of guy's fishing with us and we
are looking forward to joining you at Toledo Bend in
October for the Regional. Good luck to all of you.
