Coots And Gray Take 1st On Guntersville

1ST PLACE : Greg Coots of Fyffe and David Gray of Section bring to the scales a limit of fish weighing 24.64 and his bag also held the Big Bass of the tournament which weighed 6.86. They took home a total paycheck of $1970.
Coots and Gray found their fish down river busting and feeding on shad between a creek bed and a hump. The team fished in 5 to 8 feet of water and used an Erratic 3/4oz Spinnerbait.

2nd PLACE: Billy Ledbetter of Grant and Ed Gettys of Stevenson was edged out of the lead by 24/100 of an ounce to finish behind Coots and Gray. Ledbetter and Gettys had a limit that weighed 24.40lbs and awarded a check of $720.
Early the team fished the grass in 4-6 ft with a Pro Vibe 1/2oz Spinnerbait. Later in the day the moved out to the deeper hydrilla ledges in 8-14, where the Ledbetter and Gettys team is well know for their deep crankin a Pearl DD22 and it showed at the scales.

3rd PLACE: H. F. Crossley of Guntersville and Roger Bryant of Scottsboro also weighed in a limit of 20.35 and took home a check of $$635. They fished in the Goose Pond area. Early they found fish using a Spitn Image top water bait, later they used a ½oz double willow leaf Spinnerbait made by Waterfront Tackle and a Carolina rigged June Bug Lizzard.
