Lynn Johnson and Steve Body win on Neely Henry

1 st Place: Lynn Johnson, owner of Johnson Foods and Steve Body a Super Market design and maintenance, both of Gadsden are maintaining their lead in the N. E. Alabama Teams for defending their Anglers of the Year Title and the team is also leading the Angler of the Year race for the Choice Teams.

Johnson and Body are sponsorsed by Nitro boats/Mercury Marine and they did what they do best, headed their Nitro North and went to fliipin a prototype jig by Bita Bate tipped with a Prowler Chunk using Kistler Helium Rods, they boated a five fish limit of 18.13 pounds to take home a check of $1440.

2 nd Place: Eric Reynolds and Brannon Brown had a limit of fish that weighed 16.86 and received a check of $720. No information at this time.

3 rd Place: Jeff Cannon of Douglasville Georgia who is a sub contractor for ANSCO telephone company and Mike Ruark of Hiram Georgia who works for Jeff with ANSCO boated a five fish limit that weighed in at 16.86 pounds giving Body and Johnson a run for their money they were awarded $520. They fished up the Coosa quite a ways using a 3/8 oz. Arkie Black and Blue Jig with a Zoom Chunk they flipped and pitched their hitting several good rock and wood banks that line the river. Jeff feels right at home here on Neely Henry as he was born and raised on the river and in the City of Gadsden.

Lance Wiseman and Wayne Boyd were the lucky winners of the set of Frog Toggs each from our new sponsor Will Fowler.

The Rat L Trap award went to Greg Conway and Gary Phillips for the Largest fish caught on a Trap.

The Big Bass was caught by Ronnie Homesley and Chris Homesley with the Krystal Fishing Team that weighed in at 5.77 pounds.

Hope to see you all at the Neely Henry Super Teams this weekend June 5 th and June 6 th at the City Docks. This tournament will count as two individual tournaments towards your points to make it to the Championship on Neely Henry October 6 th thru the 9 th . It also has a 1 st Place Guarantee of $5000.
