Heaton
And Davis Win Salt Fork Lake
Salt Fork Lake was the site for the Northeastern Ohio Trails
second event. Mid 40's temperature and a cold windy rainy
day and a stingy Salt Fork Lake best describes the conditions
toughed out by fourteen of Northeastern and Southeastern Ohio's
finest team anglers. After it was all said and done, newcomers
to the N/E Ohio Trail Chuck Heaton and Mike Davis came out
on top with three fish for a total weight of 7.36 pounds.
Good enough to cash a check for $800 and give them a great
start in the point's battle for Angler's of the Year.
With only a little better then half of the
field weighing fish and Chuck and Mike tripling the rest
of the fields catch, Bruce Corrick and Chet Hayes was happy
to claim second place and Big Bass with their one keeper
at 4.00 pounds. For their efforts, Bruce and Chet walked
away with winnings of $600.
Coming up just a little shy for Big Bass,
Jason Abbot and Brett Pomeroy was still able to lay claim
to third place with their catch at 3.70 pounds.
The Northeastern Ohio trail next challenges
West Branch Lake on May 16, 2004. The tournament site will
be at the East Ramp and will blast off at 7:00 AM.
A special thanks to our local sponsors:
The Safety Group, Inc. and Cardida Corporation.
Dry out teams, and I'll see you at West
Branch !
