1st Place - Russell and Randy Bump

The Bump's struggle to take the win on the mighty Ohio!

Everything the Northeastern Ohio angler's have been hearing all year about the Ohio River being tough came true Sunday at Rayland! With only nine teams making the trip to Pike Island on a hot muggy day and only four of those teams weighing fish or should I say, a fish! It's not too surprising to hear that 1.56 pounds won. Yep you heard right, that's all it took for the father and son team of Russell and Randy Bump to come out on top. Good enough to win and take Big Bass honors also and walk away with winnings totaling $775. Congrats Russell and Randy !

Another father and son duo, Joe Discerni and Joe Jr. weighed in one small mouth at 1.08 pounds and claimed second place and winnings of $200, while making a big leap in the Anglers of Year race.

With only two tournaments left on the Northeastern Ohio trail and another trip to the Ohio River in store for the closer, the Anglers of Year race is getting pretty heated. The team of Jamie Fabian and Cecil Vandyne by weighing in one fish Sunday, leap frogged over the team of Charlie and Jeff Walker into the lead for AOY.

It's back to Northeastern Ohio August 1 at Lake Milton for what looks like may be a deciding factor in determining who will make a trip to Dell Hollow in November. I get excited just thinking about it ! Remember guy's blast of is at 7am and the weigh in at 3pm. Be there!!!!

Once again, the N/E Ohio Trail thanks our local sponsors in: The Safety Group, Inc. and Cardida Corporation.
