Jordan And Carver Repeat As Morgan Lake Winners

Jordan And Carver
Perry And Skelton 7.17 lbs WOW !!!

This maybe a new circuit but we have our first repeat winners. I said in the newsletter last month that the team of Wade Jordan/Mike Carver was going to be a team to be reckoned with. Not only did they repeat but also they raised the bar by weighing in 24.56 lbs of largemouth good for $930.00. I know that the big bags are supposed to come out of the lakes with those kinds of reputations but Morgan Lake just keeps doing it. When was the last time 21 lbs. did not get a check at almost any lake in the country? That was Stan Horn's dilemma when the final tally showed him in 4th place. That's right, fourth with over 21 lbs. and all he got was the cash for Lucky Loser, first out if the money. The team of David Perry/Scott Skelton was 2nd with 22.46 lbs. that paid $465.00. They also brought in a great representative of the "HOG" club with a 7.17 lb bucketmouth. Coming in just a little shy at 22.33 lbs for 3rd place was the team of Sean Hill/Dennis Cook, which rewarded them $240.00. Can Wade and Mike say "Three-Peat"? There were 8 limits weighed with every team weighing at least one fish. There were 15 teams with one new team from Grand Junction, Co. coming down to sample the great fishing. I forgot to get the winning patterns out of the top teams but I would bet a dollar to a donut hole that it was a mix of plastic and reaction baits. The bite was strong all day.

For the teams that could not make it due to weather, Mother Nature did you wrong big time. Hope you don't miss the next one at Navajo Lake, April 19th, which should be another one that takes some serious weight to win. The meeting will be at K B Dillon's from 5 pm till 7 pm on April 18th. Plan on eating, they have great food at a reasonable price. Let's support our sponsors when we can.

For anyone looking for a circuit to join, look no further than Anglers Choice/Four Corners division. We fish some of the best lakes in the area with diverse habitats that challenges some of the best anglers in the region. Just give me a call or e-mail for info on fishing the most exciting team circuit in the USA, U.S. Anglers Choice Team Tournament Circuit. Where else can the anglers in this area get a chance to qualify for a Championship event where they give away 3 fully rigged Bass Cat boats? No where else. On top of that, there is no entry fee into Championship event.

Anglers Choice has the greatest sponsors who really get behind the anglers. At this event, I was able to give everyone who fished a bag of Yamamoto Senkos. Word is they came in useful to some of the teams in getting a few more bites out of an area. Thank you Yamamoto Custom Bait Co. for the support. Another great sponsor is Bass Cat boats who awarded a $1000.00 Bas Cat Bucks certificate good towards the purchase of a new boat to the first place team. This is not one of those programs where you have to be using the manufacture's boats; it is for the winners no matter what they own. Thank you Bass Cat boats. Our other sponsors include Lowrance electronics, Motorguide trolling motors, Mercury Outboards, Competitive Edge baits, Solar Bat eyewear, Hamby's Protector, Bass West magazine. Our local sponsor is K B Dillon's restaurant who provides the meeting place for us. Do not forget our great sponsors when considering your next purchase, without them, it would be impossible to bring this circuit to you.
