It started out very cold.
Like 37 degrees slight breeze started the boats at
6:10 (26) of them and it look like it might be a nice
day. Fishing had been tough for some people but there
are always ones that find them as we a waited for
the weight in it started to sprinkle and cloud cover.
We had rain and cloud cover and very windy for the
weight in. When the weight- in was completed the team
of Scott Green and John Ellis had 5 beautiful fish
weighting 26.44 which also included big fish of the
event &7.58 for $1720.00 total. Second place team
of Greg McCosker & Randy Marshall had 5 fish for
a total weight of 21.39 with a 7. 36 kicker. 3rd place
was the team of Calvin & Jan Fredrick from lake
Almanor (they are also our Yamamoto team Champions
for 2002) they had 5 fish for 20.51 with a 7.26 kicker.
The large percentage of the better fish were caught
drop shotting in 4 to 15 feet of water and al over
the lake and there were many other fish caught using
different bates and there were no pattern. In this
event we had 4 fish over 7 lb's and 2 over 6 lb's
and 3 over 5 lb's that were weight in. After the 4th
event in the Northern California team trail
Calvin & Jan have taken over the point's race
for Angler of the year honors. Closely followed by
Gary Keller & Larry Long are just 5.17 points
behind the leaders.
Our next tournament is May 31st. At Lake Shasta which
is a Sat. We would like to take this time to thank
our Sponsors and Staff.
