Number 6 of 7 has come and gone, partly cloudy skies
and hot, hot, hot. As the season draws to a close positioning
for championship seeds gets tighter and tighter.
1st place went to Robert Nunley and
David Bozarth with a 21.67 lb sack. Robert and David
fished deep cranks and Carolina rigs from the deck
of their Champion Boat. They reported getting their
big bite at 7:50 a.m. Their total winnings for 1st
place was $2295 (included is their Bass Cat Bonus
Bucks).
Coming in 2nd place was King Tieken
and Shannon McCaleb with 20.77 lbs. Anchoring their
sack was an 8.72 lb kicker. King and Shannon fished
spoon and Carolina rigs with Castaway rods in 20+
feet of water. They had their limit caught by 11:00
am. King and Shannon would like to thank Castaway
rods and Randy Fite with custom Hunting Rifles for
their support.
Rounding out the top three was Russell
Cecil and David Curtis with a 5 fish limit that weighed
18.80 lbs. Russell and Cecil fished DT16 Rappallas
and DD22's with Castaway and Falcon graphite rods.
They reported getting their big bite around 11:00
am and culled 4 fish.
Big Bass of the tournament was an
8.83 lb. fish caught by the team of Jack Fitzgerald
and Kip Snell. They caught the fish about 8:30 am.
Jack and Kip would like to recognize Castaway rods
and Kick-N-Bass products for their assistance in landing
the Bib Bass of the tournament.
Our last event will be on Lake Livingston
out of Waterwood Marina. If you have not already make
