Southeast Texas continued its strong showing with 40 teams battling the rainy conditions at the second of seven events at Waterwood Marina on Lake Livingston. Light winds with heavy rain made for a tough day on the water. However, each of the top six teams still managed to bring in five fish limits.

Joe New and David Driesel overcame the weather conditions to catch the winning sack with a total weight of 14.76 lbs. in which they received $1,560.00. In addition to the first place prize money, Joe and David also managed to bring in the Big Bass honors with a weight of 5.16 lbs. earning an extra $400.00 for a day total of $1,960.00. Nice jobs guys !!

2nd place went to a team showing strong consistency so far this year, Brian Sewell and Chip Sewell. Brian and Chip also weighed in a limit of fish totaling 14.24 lbs. giving them a $1,075.00 payday. This gives Brian and Chip their second top ten finish in two tournaments.

3rd place went to another consistent team of Russell Cecil and Wes Schubert. Russell and Wes tipped the scales with a limit of fish weighing 13.65 lbs earning them $605.00 for their efforts. This was also their 2nd top five finish for the year.

Our next event will be back on Lake Conroe, March 21st. Registration will be at the April Plaza Marina from 4-6 PM, Saturday March 20th. We appreciate all of the loyal anglers who came out to continue the Southeast Texas tournament trail. We look forward to seeing all of you at Lake Conroe.
