The Southeast Texas tournament trail finished the year strong
with 31 boats blasting out of Waterwood Marina on Lake Livingston. It was
a good day of fishing with 1/3 of the field bringing in a 5 fish limit.
Chip Sewell and Brian Sewell managed to top the field with their stringer
of 5 fish weighing in at 18.80 lbs. in which they received $1,470.00. Their
technique of flipping worms around boat docks proved to be very productive
! In addition to the first place prize money, Brian also captured the Big
Bass honors with a weight of 7.06 lbs. earning an extra $310.00 for a day
total of $1,780.00. Nice jobs guys !!
Second place went to a team of Scott David and Slade Dearman. Scott and Slade
also brought in 5 fish, tipping the scales at 13.88 lbs. Their second place
finish earned them $950.00 for their efforts !
Third place went to the duo of Edwin Loitz and Nick Albus. Edwin and Nick
kept the competition close with their sack of fish weighing 13.16 lbs. The
third place finish netted Edwin and Nick $495.00.
This event concludes our regular season tournaments and we appreciate the
support we’ve had all year from the anglers. We’re looking forward
to the Championship event in October ! Until then …
