South Louisiana Team Trails
held their last tournament for 2003 on July 12th. Launching
at Doiron's Landing were 20 teams vying for a berth
in the Championship and the title of Angler of the Year.
When the scales closed and the final results tallied,
it was Ken Sherman and Brent Bonadona who earned the
title of 2003 Anglers of the Year. Congratulations!
Anthony Granier and Robbie
Poche' brought in a limit weighing 12.39 pounds which
earned them 1st place and $1120. Weighing in 10.45 pounds
were Marty and Nathan Poche'. They walked away with
2nd place and $560. Third place and $265 went to Danny
Burgess and Kerry Goolsby with 10.01 pounds. Keith and
Kirby Plaisance earned 4th place and $255 for 9.96 pounds.
Kevin Gaubert and Brad Friloux brought in the big bass
of the day which weighed 4.44 pounds. Congratulations
to all winners!
Hamburgers, dirty rice,
veggies, sandwiches, cheese and dips were a hit for
the end of circuit get together. There were also door
prizes for everyone. It would have been impossible to
put together a gathering such as this without the help
and donations of many. Thank you all for everything.
Toledo Bend and the Championship
is right around the corner. I, for one, am looking forward
to it. Anyone qualifying who does not plan to attend
needs to notify me pronto.
