What a cold, blistery day to have our second tournament of the year. It was frigid! I have a feeling the weather kept some of our teams away. But, seventeen teams braved the wind and cold for eight hours.

Robbie Poche and Jeff Moran, unable to fish our first tournament due to a broken trailer, jumped up in the standings by bringing in 4 bass weighing 13.81 pounds. They also brought in the big bass of the day which weighed 5.29 pounds. I'd say the $1328 they took home made up for missing the season opener. Todd Schaubhut and Norman Guidry placed second with 5 bass weighing 11.79 pounds. Their efforts earned them $771.

Yvette cooked as usual, so everyone had hot pulled pork and pork and beans to warm their insides. I'm sure it was appreciated by all.

Many thanks to J.R. Equipment for donating the tent, and McDonald Sanitation for the port-a-lets. They certainly came in handy.

A special thanks to all those who contributed to making the tournament successful. You know who you are.

Next month, Morgan City brings on new challenges, where we'll be launching on either side. I hope to see everyone there!

Good fishing to all,

Cayce
