The choice of launch was
divided 50-50 for our 3rd tournament of 2004. Half of
the teams went to the west, with the other half going
to the east. We were hoping the rain would hold off
until everyone had checked in, but we weren't that lucky.
It began raining at 1:30 and never stopped. That didn't
deter the fishermen, though. They were all in good spirits
as they brought their catch to the scales.
The lead changed hands
several times, but when the scales closed it was the
19.43 pounds caught by Pat Parrot and Terry Adams that
tied up first place and $1315. Pat's and Terry's 4.83
pound big bass brought them an additional $230 to add
to their earnings. David and Derek Mong took 2nd place
and $855 for a limit weighing exactly 15 pounds. Third
place and $460 went to Dwayne Plaisance and David St.
Pierre who weren't far behind with 14.45 pounds.
The camaraderie between
the teams grew as everyone visited while Yvette served
up chicken casserole. It was a consensus that it was
delicious and warmed everyone's wet body.
A big welcome goes out to our three new teams, and a
huge congratulations to all the winners. I'm looking
forward to seeing everyone on April 25th in Des Allemands.
