Sardis again proved it can get rough quick. The day started out calm till about 9:00am when a north wind hit with gusts of 20 miles and it turned cloudily. There were four-foot breakers for a while, then about two hours later the winds calmed down and it returned to sunny skies. There were 74 bass brought to the scales weighing 141.66 pounds for an average weight of 1.91 pounds per bass. Four teams had a five fish limit.

Homer and Spencer McAlester of Denison TX received a $50.00 check from local sponsor J & M Marine for having the smallest bass of the event a 1.12 pounder. Can't wait to see what J & M Marine will do for the next event it's a mystery. Remember to check out their specials each month.
